About The Position

The Engineering Intern will support operations in LaFayette, GA, and may have an opportunity to travel to our corporate location in Washington, PA. The intern will support any/all engineering and operations functions, with primary focus of driving operational efficiency and improvement.

Requirements

• Analytical and data analysis
• Self-driven and ability to drive for completion
• Willing to be hands-on in a manufacturing environment
• Exceptional teamwork, organization, and communication skills
• At least 2 years of completed coursework in Chemical Engineering or related field of study

Responsibilities

• Build of machine trending dashboards that make data access and decision-making points easy
• Using current scorecards build out data for AE specific business, evaluate accuracy, and work with engineering and operations team how to apply
• Oil/Rubber Blend process evaluation and how to quantify/qualify
• Oil/Rubber/Resin ratio study of process influence of melt and hardness
• Dusting agent evaluation: talc particle size, precipitated fumed silica
