Engineering Intern
About The Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Engineering Intern to join our R&D team this summer. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys solving complex problems, thinking outside the box, and turning innovative ideas into tangible design concepts. As an R&D Intern, you will work on exploratory projects that require creativity, independent thinking, and a strong engineering foundation. These projects are currently outside the bandwidth of our core engineering team, providing you with the opportunity to take ownership and make a meaningful impact. By the end of the internship, the successful candidate is expected to deliver several well-developed design concepts that can be further evaluated for future development.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity
- Ability to work independently on loosely defined challenges
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for innovation
Responsibilities
- Develop and explore new design concepts for early-stage R&D initiatives
- Conduct research, analysis, and feasibility assessments
- Generate innovative solutions to open-ended engineering challenges
- Create conceptual designs, models, and/or prototypes as appropriate
- Present findings and final design concepts at the conclusion of the internship
