About The Position

Intern will support manufacturing and packaging by identifying and implementing improvements to our processes and equipment.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an engineering degree program during the Spring term preceding internship
• Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Biosystems (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
• Completion of at least one year of undergraduate studies and a 3.0 GPA or higher. (Western Michigan or Michigan State students preferred)
• Candidate interested in pursuing a career in the Pharmaceutical or Life Science industry preferred.
• At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be physically residing in the U.S for the entirety of the internship.
• Good communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to interact with all levels of the Zoetis organization.
• Can articulate issues and solutions to the team.
• Can produce effective project reports and presentations.
• Can analyze problems and provide support in determining appropriate corrective and preventative actions, with minimal assistance.
• Capable of simultaneously managing multiple assignments.
• Prioritizes own work.
• Flexible and responsive to changes.
• Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Process Engineering team in supporting day-to-day operations
• Collaborate across multiple units (operations, quality, safety, maintenance) to identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime.
• Implement equipment and process improvements
• Develop and submit change control documentation
• Support team with capital project related activities
• Communicate with key stakeholders at the site
