About The Position

The Engineering Intern performs routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures. This position reports to a Project Manager. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs structural inspections and prepares inspection reports. Prepares and/or checks structural calculations. Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Field work will be required.

Requirements

• Junior or senior working towards a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, evaluate facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
