About The Position
Citizens Electric is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern for Summer 2026! This paid internship offers hands‑on experience supporting real projects within a rural electric cooperative. You’ll work closely with our engineering team on system analysis, mapping updates, field data collection, and project planning that directly impact the reliability of our electric system.
Requirements
- Current student pursuing an engineering degree (Electrical preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to work both in the office and in the field
- Good communication and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Assist with engineering studies, system modeling, and data analysis
- Support fieldwork, inspections, and equipment documentation
- Update GIS/mapping data and engineering records
- Collaborate with engineers on ongoing construction and maintenance projects
