The Role Cloverleaf is looking for a DevOps/Engineering Intern to help build internal tooling, automate workflows, and support our infrastructure and security programs. You’ll work alongside senior engineering leadership on real production systems in a small team where your contributions are highly visible. This is a hands-on engineering role. Strategic direction and architectural decisions are owned by senior leadership—your job is to write code, build automation, and contribute meaningfully across the engineering lifecycle. You’ll have clear requirements and documented processes to work from, with the expectation that you’ll use AI-augmented coding workflows to accelerate your work. This role offers exposure to the full stack of SaaS infrastructure—from code to cloud to security—in an environment where individual contributions make a real difference.

Requirements

  • Ability to write functional code and contribute to production systems
  • Comfort working in Linux/shell environments and command-line tools
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Understanding of basic CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code concepts
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently once expectations and priorities are clear
  • Willingness to use AI coding assistants to accelerate development
  • Openness to leveraging AI for code review, debugging, and documentation
  • Ability to use AI tools to understand unfamiliar codebases
  • Understanding of security best practices and DevOps principles
  • Basic understanding of how technical infrastructure supports SaaS product delivery

Nice To Haves

  • Node.js and/or TypeScript
  • Python
  • Bash scripting
  • Existing experience with AI-augmented coding workflows
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Build agent workflows and internal tooling to automate business processes
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and infrastructure automation
  • Support information security automation and participate in a real Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code implementations
  • Help manage and optimize AWS infrastructure
  • Build security tooling and monitoring automation
  • Identify and implement product enhancements based on technical opportunities
  • Write clear technical documentation for the work you do
