About The Position

To assist in the efficient and safe operation of the building’s physical appearance and fixtures to ensure the successful operation of the hotel. Directly respond to guest/employee engineering needs. Individual will be responsible for maintaining the hotel's indoor and outside walls, conducting walks throughout the property, identifying damages that need to be addressed and repaired.

Requirements

High School or equivalent
Two (2) years of training, or equal experience in one of the trades

Nice To Haves

Hospitality-related field a BIG plus!
Multi-lingual a BIG plus! What languages? You name it, we probably got it
One (1) year experience as a painter
Prior engineering experience in a hotel or high-rise building

Responsibilities

Be able to communicate effectively to all guests and other departments
Help in training new crewmembers to meet department responsibilities
Respond all incoming calls, guest requests, and radio calls professionally, efficiently and in a timely manner
Assist with performing inspections, preventative maintenance schedules and repairs
Complete duty engineer daily task sheet, and perform preventative maintenance as-assigned
Assist in performing inventories, ordering, and stock control
Follow proper procedures in returning all shop tools, ladders and test equipment to its proper area
Follow future and established elevator policy
Follow proper electrical safety lock-out-tag-out procedures
Maintain cleanliness of all engineering spaces
Maintain a proper engineering and turnover log
Assist in maintaining reports and documents
Follow guidelines presented in the employee handout book
Attend engineering departmental meetings as scheduled
Perform other tasks as requested
