JOB SUMMARY: This position directs, manages, and oversees a division of related but diverse work units comprised of at least one engineering or project/construction management section or program, with emphasis on administrative management, program development and implementation, and strategic planning for the division. Work involves designing, upgrading, and maintaining power distribution equipment, control systems, and instrumentation at facilities; serves as a primary contact for engineering needs; creates standards and ensures that resources are allocated; prioritizes projects; addresses hazards and creates appropriate work rules to ensure employees’ safety; supervises assigned staff; and complies with related regulations. This position assists operations in developing proper energy management systems to collect and analyze energy usage; serves as the primary contact for utility providers and local agencies; and establishes standards, goals, timelines, and expectations for future upgrades.
