The Thermo Fisher Scientific by Patheon Cincinnati site offers an Engineering co-op rotational program! Candidates must be enrolled in a college or university obtaining a Bachelor's degree in chemical, biomedical, and mechanical engineering. Engineering assignments are typically in Central Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Manufacturing Sciences groups however departments such as Business Management, Supply Chain, and Quality are available. We consider students with technical/functional competence who also have the ability to work well as an individual and within a team. Training is on-the-job with experienced supervision and support. Co-op assignments vary within each department and are determined by need. Work assignments commonly incorporate some entry level work with guidance given for first-time experiences. Future work assignments increase in responsibility, complexity, and challenge. The rate at which a student can assume additional responsibilities is determined by their level of experience, interest, initiative, and academic background. CENTRAL ENGINEERING (PROJECTS, EQUIPMENT, AND VALIDATION ENGINEERING) - Plan, design & direct project installation/construction - Contractor/Vendor Supervision - Manage budget within project scope - Assist in Facility and/or Equipment Validation IQ, OQ, and PQ MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING - Qualification of equipment modifications or improvements - Troubleshoot existing equipment issues - Coordinate with outside vendors - Participate in deviation investigation and root cause analysis MANUFACTURING SCIENCES - Develop new drug products and manage product lifecycle - Troubleshoot product issues during manufacturing - Bulk hold, API Qualification, Pre-Validation, and Validation reports - Opportunity for client interaction
