We are looking for a motivated entry-level Engineer that wants to work as a CO-OP Application Engineer/Co-OP in the advanced water treatment field. This person will be willing to join us in our quest to keep our current customers satisfied by building great customer relationships and providing Engineering technical assistance, which will lead to revenue growth. You will work with experienced mentors who will guide you through the process of evaluating RO/UF membrane systems, and learn the sales process for specifying/recommending/applying specific chemistry needed for these membrane processes. Your work schedule will be somewhat flexible, but candidate must be disciplined and a self-starter. This position will allow you to use your engineering knowledge, and couple it with a great opportunity for future income potential in sales that comes from the highly motivated individual.

Requirements

  • 4 Year Technical Degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Civil/Env) in progress or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to gain sales experience
  • Desire to gain Industry experience in Water Treatment
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

  • Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner: Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.

Responsibilities

  • Take a consultative sales approach with a strong emphasis on bringing value with engineering expertise.
  • Travel/visit job sites with and without mentor
  • Gain hands on experience with water systems, specifically with RO/UF membrane systems
  • Work with assigned mentor to develop engineering skills to evaluate Membrane systems and perform troubleshooting and optimization
  • Learn the sales process and customer interaction skills
  • Build long-term relationships with an existing customer base by providing dependable support and understanding their specific technical needs
