About The Position

Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for a student pursuing a degree in Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering to support the Design Quality Engineering (DQE) team in Naples, FL. The DQE team provides expertise in risk management, product quality, process control, verification & validation (V&V), and continuous improvement. The individual chosen for this position will assist in these activities under our Shoulder Arthroplasty vertical. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™. This co-op will run from July 2026 – December 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Requirements

Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree in biomedical engineering or bioengineering required.
Senior preferred.(Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
Ability to effectively communicate, oral and written, and possess the ability to work through technical issues.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
Prior experience with CAD, such as SolidWorks, required.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of surgical equipment/instrumentation and mechanical testing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate and support Design Quality Engineers with project analysis, including reviewing data as well as generating reports.
Review process flow charts and interact with various cross-functional teams to establish processes.
Support DQEs with change request/change notice reports, providing feedback/recommendations for rejection/approval.
Support marketing project initiation gap analysis.
Other duties as assigned.
