This co-op program will follow an in-person model. Co-ops will be based at CTC – Auburn Hills, Michigan along with Assembly Plants in Michigan and are expected to work on-site 5 days per week during work rotations. Co-ops will rotate aligned with the Kettering University co-op schedule. Applications are accepted year-round, and co-op cohorts start on a quarterly basis in and co-ops are intended to stay in the program until graduation. The co-op program offers a unique alternative to traditional internships by providing co-ops with the opportunity to work year-round throughout their academic journey. This continuous engagement allows co-ops to apply their classroom learning in real-world settings on a daily basis, fostering deeper integration within their teams and organizations. As they progress through the program, co-ops are empowered to take on increasing levels of responsibility, gaining valuable experience, and making meaningful contributions along the way. Co-ops will be assigned to a department based on the candidate's background and skill set. The assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department, and allow the co-op to provide valuable contributions. Co-ops experience a sense of personal accomplishment and learn about the corporate business culture through work assignments, structured activities, and exclusive student networking events. A co-op student in an Assembly Plant would typically be placed into one of these areas depending on need: PQE (Plant Quality Engineering) Customer Protection / Audits Certification line quality Metrology Quality Gates / process verification roles Supplier quality support A co-op student at CTC would typically be placed into one of these areas depending on need: Quality Engineering program tasks Launch quality Quality metrics and dashboards Customer insight / warranty data analysis Quality standards, training, and governance tasks
