About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Engineering and Implementation Manager to lead enterprise engineering initiatives and oversee the design, deployment, and modernization of physical and virtual hosting environments. This role is responsible for managing engineering projects across distributed domestic and international infrastructures, ensuring resilient architectures, and supporting transitions to cloud‑based services. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to drive engineering solutions that advance operational capability and organizational strategy. Your future duties and responsibilities: Oversee engineering teams responsible for delivering physical and virtual server environments, including Windows, UNIX/Linux, and cloud‑based platforms. Lead the planning, design, configuration, and implementation of infrastructure services across on‑premises and cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS, software‑defined infrastructure). Provide technical leadership for large‑scale engineering projects, ensuring alignment with business and mission objectives. Partner with architects, development teams, operations staff, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into infrastructure solutions. Manage the execution of multiple concurrent engineering initiatives while maintaining operational stability in production environments. Guide the transition of applications, systems, and services into cloud environments, ensuring security, availability, and compliance. Support enterprise‑level strategy and contribute to long-term infrastructure roadmaps, including modernization and resilience initiatives. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reliability, and improve performance across the infrastructure ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing and leading engineering and operations teams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing technical and process changes in highly complex infrastructures, including collaboration with architects, development leads, and operations teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple projects in parallel while supporting a production environment.
  • Hands‑on experience managing transitions of systems and applications into cloud environments.
  • Top Secret‑level security clearance
