To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time Who we’re looking for Toyota’s Production Engineering Stamping Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer for Procurement Projects. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the sourcing and acquisition of critical stamping die components. Reporting to the Engineering Manager the person in this role will support the Stamping department's objective to work closely with the die manufacturing team to ensure all stamping die requirements are met with high-quality parts, on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or 2 years equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of Toyota experience inclusive of team member, contingent worker and/or co-op
  • Efficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, including the use of Excel pivot tables and macros
  • Minimum 2 years in procurement role using SAP Ariba

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in supply chain management
  • 2 years of experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis
  • 1 year experience in 3D CAD skills. (CATIA, XVL, etc.)
  • Ability to read 2D and 3D component technical drawings and component parts lists

Responsibilities

  • Lead activity to procure parts for stamping die components.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, which result in supply base optimization.
  • Negotiate with supplier partners for cost savings and avoidance utilizing competitive benchmarking of detailed cost elements and analysis of cost variance.
  • Establish and assess cost standards to reach a consistent, efficient approach to pricing, including timely payment issuance.
  • Understand and analyze automotive tooling trends to ensure Toyota is using the right supplier candidates and technologies.
