The primary responsibility of this role is to support line planning of Powertrain projects from feasibility study through project authorization and equipment procurement, support Powertrain line process/equipment development & validation. The person in this role will support the Production Engineering – Powertrain Planning department's objective to achieve world class competitiveness in manufacturing through regional production planning and investment efficiency. What you’ll be doing Develop and plan North American Powertrain manufacturing lines in the early project planning phase, which includes activities such as product simultaneous engineering, equipment/process planning, layout planning, project investment estimations, etc. Investment and Feasibility studies based on requests issued to Powertrain Planning from External Division/Department. Collaborate across multiple groups / organizations within Toyota to set and gain agreement on project / trial initiatives and obtain resource support. Be responsible for the core planning outputs of operation drawing, tool layout drawing, quality assurance documentation, equipment specification, line layout, and material and information flow by project authorization approval. Define, visualize, manage, and report activity plan and schedule of responsible area. Support mapping out current job way with JKK to identify gaps for future improvement Develop / improve planning standard tools and benchmarks for estimation process Develop / sustain project management and visualization standards for the department Flexibility to domestic & overseas business travel and support weekends and shutdown work (such as July and December manufacturing shutdown). What you bring Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical degree or 5+ years related professional experience in automotive powertrain manufacturing At least 2 years of experience in automotive model change projects including vendor management, budget management and schedule management At least 2 years of experience with production engineering Project Planning Experience with investment estimation studies Added bonus if you have At least 2 years of Toyota experience At least 2 years of experience in Engine and/or Transmission machining, casting, assembly At least 2 years of experience in other Unit areas outside of Engine/Transmission such as Axle and/or Instrumentation At least 2 years of experience in equipment design, build, and set-up procedure At least 2 years of experience in process (jig, tooling, gauge) design At least 2 years of experience in equipment/process simultaneous development and validation for new model introduction At least 2 years of experience in product simultaneous development for new model introduction At least 2 years of experience in digital engineering tools and procedures, such as CREO or experience in reporting tools, such as Power BI Completion of JKK TBP Completion through Panel What We’ll Bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. Requirements
