Who we’re looking for Toyota’s IL Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Engineer, Production Engineering. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead MBO IL in support of Innovation and Automation projects working with cross-functional groups. Reporting to the MBO IL Manager, the person in this role will support the MBO IL Engineering department's objective to optimize the Toyota North America supply chain by using Innovation and Automation to balance the requirements of External Logistics, Production Engineering Planning and Manufacturing Groups to develop the most efficient internal delivery process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of automation installation experience
  • At least 2 years ITX system experience
  • Strong project management experience.
  • At least 2 years experience with MBO IL equipment and automation.
  • MIR expert training with hands-on practical use.
  • Experience working across multiple NAMCs with diverse vendor support.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Fleet Manager software experience

Responsibilities

  • Travel to all NAMCs to design and specify equipment.
  • Collaborate with a large vendor network to maintain cost competitiveness for automation projects.
  • Work directly with NAMC departments and Pilot Engineers to confirm process, automation, and system compliance requirements.
  • Design auxiliary equipment to support automation initiatives.
  • Manage project budgets and provide regular status reports to management.
  • Ensure and maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Engage in travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.
  • Work overtime, including weekends as required.
