Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2026 Systems Engineering Intern. In this role, you will be partnered with Integrated Product Team leads to help align technical, cost and schedule baselines; support strategic planning activities and help refine and drive consistency in the engineering business rhythm. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of bringing structure to complex problems, will be a confident communicator who builds relationships across all levels and be comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree from an accredited university in a related field (Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical, etc)
  • Familiarity with engineering design and development tools
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and concepts
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  • Familiarity with Agile processes
  • Strong academic performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to work on interdisciplinary project
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques (e.g. SysML, UML)
  • Experience with integration and testing of complex systems
  • Familiarity with requirements management and analysis tools
