About The Position

The Engineer III is a senior-level engineering role responsible for advanced maintenance, repair, and preventative care of the hotel’s physical plant and operating systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall condition of the property while supporting Pyramid Global Hospitality’s standards of quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive hotel or facilities engineering experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues independently
  • EPA Certification and/or other applicable trade certifications preferred
  • Hotel or resort experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance
  • Guest-focused mindset aligned with Pyramid’s service culture
  • Physically able to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform required manual tasks

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certification and/or other applicable trade certifications preferred
  • Hotel or resort experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems
  • Maintain the hotel’s facilities in accordance with Pyramid Global Hospitality standards and brand requirements
  • Respond to guest service requests and emergency maintenance situations in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and OSHA standards
  • Support capital projects, renovations, and special maintenance initiatives
  • Coordinate with and monitor outside vendors and contractors as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment servicing
  • Serve as a technical resource and provide guidance to junior engineering team members
  • Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
