Engineer II, Lab Operations Common Equipment Engineer
About The Position
Sub‑fab sustaining: Coordinate maintenance and troubleshooting on pumps, abatement, chillers, HX units, and heater jackets; escalate complex failures as needed. Tool install participation: Lead portions of installation work such as utility verification, space checks, parts staging, vendor coordination, and install task execution under guidance from senior engineers. Gas and utility readiness: Verify gas panel configuration, support gas line checks, and ensure alignment with BU and facilities expectations. Documentation: Maintain accurate myLab configuration, equipment logs, install notes, and change documentation. Small projects: Execute minor retrofits, like‑for‑like replacements, and low‑risk equipment modifications. Safety: Follow all hazardous energy, gas panel, and sub‑fab safety protocols; participate in incident reviews and pre-task planning.
Requirements
- 3-6 years in semiconductor equipment engineering, sub‑fab operations, field service, or tool installs
- Competent in vacuum systems, gas panels, mechanical systems, and utility interfaces
- Able to interpret schematics, P&IDs, and facilities drawings
- Strong troubleshooting foundation with willingness to grow into system‑level ownership
