About The Position

The CEG Engineer supports the procurement of new or updated equipment, jigs, fixtures, and automation. This role will work with the Project Managers, facilities, manufacturing engineers, maintenance, and project teams to provide technical support, data analysis, and troubleshooting for new and existing equipment and processes. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well with others in a team environment, to work independently and drive tasks to completion, the ability to mentor others working on related projects, and the ability to work with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power point, etc.) required
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical principals
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills required

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling software (Inventor and AutoCAD preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, test, build and evaluate fixtures, tooling, processes, and product design.
  • Evaluate, seek, and test new technologies in equipment, automation, and manufacturing equipment, components, and systems.
  • Investigate machine functionality, quality, and safety concerns to determine root cause and drive resolutions.
  • Support CEG, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams with data-based guidance and calculations as needed for equipment, facility, and product design needs.
  • Provide support and input for root-cause analysis on quality, safety, and machine downtime issues.
  • Communicate with internal customers to ensure project expectations are being met.
  • Technical communication with outside vendors to ensure components and machines meet requirements while keeping projects on schedule, in budget, and sustainable.
  • Assist with analysis of prints, procedures, and measurement data as it relates to equipment and processes.
  • Provide measuring support and expertise for equipment testing and runoffs.
  • Provide directions as needed to train Production and Maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Provide and maintain detailed documentation of meeting notes, equipment builds, testing data, schedules, budgets, quality data, and prints for equipment related projects.
