About The Position

This Engineer I position involves monitoring and maintaining property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance. Key duties include maintaining flower beds, removing trash, and cleaning/repairing grounds features like fountains, planters, sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, and parking lots. The role also requires controlling, registering, and adjusting chemical conditions of pool and Jacuzzi water according to local standards, as well as cleaning the pool basin, Jacuzzi, and related equipment. The successful candidate must adhere to all company safety and security policies, report defective equipment or unsafe conditions, complete necessary safety training and pool operator certifications, and maintain a professional appearance. The role requires supporting team goals and performing various physical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor property grounds to ensure a pleasant appearance.
  • Maintain flower beds, baskets, and boxes by watering, removing weeds, trimming, and performing other maintenance.
  • Remove and bag trash from all exterior trash cans.
  • Maintain the appearance of fountains, planters, or other grounds features by cleaning, replacing or making repairs.
  • Maintain the appearance and safety of sidewalks, driveways, cart paths, or parking lots by filling in cracks, holes, and making other repairs.
  • Control, register and adjust chemical conditions of pool water and Jacuzzi water within the determined parameters according to the local standards.
  • Clean pool basin and Jacuzzi as well as the related water pumps, filters and heaters.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report defective equipment, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Complete safety training and pool operator certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Protect company assets.
  • Support team to reach common goals.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Report any chemical pool and/or Jacuzzi water condition out of control immediately to the Superior.
  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
  • Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), lens and gloves, and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.
  • Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel.
  • Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Maintain awareness of undesirable persons on property premises.
  • Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Ensure uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect.
  • Monitor property grounds, pool and Jacuzzi to ensure a pleasant appearance.
  • Monitor weather conditions and seek shelter in the event of severe weather, such as a lightning storm.
  • Perform pre-operation equipment safety check when using any equipment.
