The Engineer I works under the supervision and direction of a senior engineer or their manager, scaling up new cosmetic products into Manufacturing process equipment. This can include monitoring, documenting, and improving procedures used in the process and manufacture of the company's products. The role must follow quality systems and adherence to all GMP guidelines. The Manufacturing Engineer is a contributor to analysis and modification of existing processes to improve quality and reduce labor costs.

Requirements

  • You have a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • You are experienced in root cause investigations and implementing CAPAs
  • You are experienced in statistical data analysis
  • You understand GMP manufacturing and OSHA safety regulations
  • You have a knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma
  • You have positive leadership and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • You will support manufacturing in daily compounding activities and provide analysis and troubleshooting of out of spec results.
  • You will participate in quality and cost improvements projects.
  • You will assist in investigating non-conforming products.
  • You will participate in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams as well as outside vendors on new equipment design, IQ/OQ, installation and contractor supervision.
  • You will participate in management of Capital Projects
