About The Position

Young living is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented,  results -driven manufacturing engineer. This position plays a significant role in providing engineering support for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures, methods, and equipment involved in manufacturing processes. This individual will be able to configure and execute design of experiments, perform statistical analysis of test data, write equipment and material specifications and qualifications, and perform engineering investigations  regarding  equipment, materials, and facilities issues.

  • A college degree in  a technical  discipline or a master's degree (non-technical) or non-technical degree plus professional certification, and three plus years of similar or related experience.

  • A bachelor's degree (engineering discipline), multi-craft skills acquired through extensive on-the-job training, apprenticeship programs, in-depth industry- and job-specific technical skills acquired through a combination of formal instruction and on-the-job training, or experience to carry out limited projects involving the use of specialized, complicated techniques and five plus years of similar or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the company's manufacturing processes follow all government laws and regulations
  • Write test protocols, engineering reports, and general documentation of production activities, including risk management and control plans, test method validation and measurement system analysis, development of inspection strategies
  • Perform investigations into equipment failures, materials issues, procedural issues, or process problems.  Identify  the root cause of problems and develop recommendations for cost-effective solutions
  • Support and coordinate with new product activities and direction to  optimize  the transition from new product development to production
  • Establish relationships with suppliers and actively drive continuous improvement
  • Assess supplier technical capabilities through on-site visits and technical discussions
  • Coordinate the evaluation of proposed technical changes
  • Drive a systematic and statistical problem-solving and process improvement approach  utilizing  Lean Six Sigma principles
