About The Position

The Engineer I works under the supervision and direction of a senior engineer or their manager, scaling up new cosmetic products into Manufacturing process equipment. This can include monitoring, documenting, and improving procedures used in the process and manufacture of the company’s products.  The role must follow quality systems and adherence to all GMP guidelines.  The Manufacturing Engineer is a contributor to analysis and modification of existing processes to improve quality and reduce labor costs.

Requirements

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Experienced in root cause investigations and implementing CAPAs
• Experienced in statistical data analysis
• Understand GMP manufacturing and OSHA safety regulations
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and six sigma
• Positive leadership and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing in daily compounding activities and provide analysis and troubleshooting of out of spec results.
• Participate in quality and cost improvements projects.
• Assist in investigating non-conforming products.
• Participate in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams as well as outside vendors on new equipment design, IQ/OQ, installation and contractor supervision.
• Participate in management of Capital Projects
