Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position is within the ENG-WR group of E92. This person provides engineering review of Visual Work Instructions (VWIs) and other carrier engineering build authority documents, primarily within the electrical discipline. These reviews are performed within a model based manufacturing environment. Ensures build authority information provided within the VWI is consistent with the applicable technical authority documents. Reviews engineering change documents for applicability and proper incorporation within the build authority documents. Applies engineering and carrier construction knowledge towards the validation of welds, notes, and dimensions for Ford class carrier construction. Provides training to entry level engineers. Participates in development of processes and procedures. Interacts and collaborates with VWI developers, construction trade representatives, and planning personnel to ensure proper understanding of the work to be performed by and the requirements required of the VWI. Regularly participates in collaboration meetings. Frequently uses collaboration tools such as WebEx and Jabber. Uses Team Center, NGP, NX, SAP, and 1Tool daily to complete assigned tasks.
