About The Position

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. This position is intended for the Electrical Systems group in Department E70. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining component technical manuals and drawings associated with various sensors as well as managing, monitoring, and overcoming obsolescence of various sensors. This position regularly communicates with NAVSEA, Navy, Department Leads, Supply Chain, NNL, Engineers/Designers across Departments, Waterfront, and associated vendors via email, phone, and in person meetings.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master’s Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Electrical or Electronics Engineering Degree from ABET accredited college
Shipyard experience
