Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Control, Chemical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Working-level knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware and programming, and industrial communication systems used in pipeline operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, evaluate system-wide impacts, and make sound operational decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, transition between planned and unplanned work, and meet timelines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and service providers.
  • A valid driver's license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
  • Valid passport is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, administer, optimize, and maintain process control and data communication systems to support pipeline expansions, upgrades, and improvements to operational performance.
  • Lead or assist with the execution of capital projects associated with process control and data communication systems, including the development of capital budget submissions, cost estimates, execution strategies, and business case justifications.
  • Provide engineering and technical support for the operation of installed process control and data communication systems, including troubleshooting, operational issue resolution, participation in failure analyses and investigations, and provision of 24/7 on-call support as required.
  • Participate in the development, review, and maintenance of Enbridge process control and automation standards, specifications, practices, and procedures, coordinating with internal engineering, operating groups, and counterpart control systems experts.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, project managers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and service providers to support safe, reliable, and compliant system operations.
