About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engagement Manager (Senior Automation Strategist) to join our team. You will serve as the single point of contact between our key data center clients and internal teams, responsible for leading and delivering world-class automation solutions. In this role, you are not only a senior automation strategist but also a catalyst for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Leveraging your deep expertise in big data, machine automation, and process optimization, you will design, plan, and execute end-to-end automation strategies for complex data center environments, ensuring seamless service delivery, enhancing operational efficiency, and maximizing customer value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Valid Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with proven practical experience in successfully leading complex process improvement projects.
  • 8+ years of experience in large, complex data center environments, with at least 5 years focused on developing and implementing hardware/software automation strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in roles such as Client/Stakeholder Engagement Lead, Project Manager, or Technical Account Manager.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of translating complex operational challenges into clear strategies and action plans.
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in machine learning/AI projects, particularly in predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or intelligent resource scheduling.
  • Experience with robotic process automation (RPA) or physical robotics systems applied in data centers.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, network systems, and facility management systems in data centers (e.g., Meta, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Apple).
  • ASQ or IASSC certification is a plus.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary strategic contact for designated clients and/or internal stakeholders, establishing and maintaining strong, trusted partnerships.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery across all activities, manage expectations, and effectively communicate project progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Proactively identify customer needs and translate them into actionable automation project roadmaps.
  • Lead comprehensive assessments of existing data center operations (including facilities, IT, and networking) to identify automation opportunities.
  • Develop and communicate a clear, forward-looking data center automation strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Prioritize automation projects with a focus on ROI, risk reduction, and operational resilience.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels (from executives to field engineers) to ensure broad support and adoption of automation initiatives.
  • Facilitate work meetings, workshops, and reviews to gather requirements, present solutions, and drive decision-making.
  • Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), showcasing performance metrics, outcomes, and ROI of automation projects.
  • Use data-driven insights to articulate how automation creates business value and to plan strategic priorities for the next quarter.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma Black Belt expertise to lead process improvement projects, eliminate waste, reduce variation, and optimize workflows.
  • Integrate Lean Six Sigma methodologies with automation technologies to achieve step-change improvements in operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance for automation projects, particularly in areas involving big data analytics, machine learning, and robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and data science teams to design and implement scalable, reliable automation solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new automation tools and technologies to maintain industry leadership
