Endpoint Productivity Applications Associate (Contractor)

Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA). The Endpoint Productivity Applications Associate is responsible for maintaining and supporting an organization’s enterprise application suite. They ensure that all desktop computers, laptops, tablets, applications and mobile devices operate efficiently and securely. Additionally, they troubleshoot technical issues related to software applications. This contract role is onsite in Houston, TX, with a hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday onsite and Fridays remote. The position offers competitive hourly compensation ranging from $40 to $45 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in managing Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
- Experience supporting backup or data protection solutions. i.e. Code42, Druva InSync, OneDrive.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, with the ability to support project-based tasks.
- Familiarity with desktop support software and tools
Responsibilities
- Support desktop application activities, including deployment coordination, validation, and issue resolution.
- Assist with tracking, testing results, and end-user support related to projects.
- Configure and maintain desktop hardware and operating systems.
- Deploy software applications and updates.
- Monitor system performance and optimize desktop environments.
- Provide escalated technical assistance to end-users regarding software applications.
- Troubleshoot application issues and resolve user inquiries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application functionality.
- Implement security measures for desktops and applications.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular productivity audits.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses and hardware inventory.
- Create user documentation and conduct training sessions.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices.
