About The Position
The EMT/Basic is responsible for delivering and administering high quality care and transportation to ill and injured persons. The EMT/Basic must demonstrate clinical competency and compassion in providing for physical and emotional needs of patients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Must be proficient in English; must have the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Current certification as a Nationally Registered EMT/Basic.
- Current Florida EMT/Basic Licensure/Certification.
- Current American Heart Association certification (Title: BLS for Healthcare Providers or BLS Provider).
- Current Red Cross certification (Title: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers or BLS for Healthcare Providers).
- Current Military Training Network certification.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as an EMT preferred.
- A baccalaureate degree is preferred.
