This position provides a unique opportunity to shape EMS engagement strategies, facilitate clinical improvements, and contribute to the seamless integration of emergency medical services into a leading healthcare system. The EMS Outreach Liaison at Emory Healthcare plays a critical role in developing and strengthening relationships with EMS staff and providing education to internal and external stakeholders. This position serves as a key connection between EMS organizations, healthcare teams, and hospital leadership, to support strategic growth, operational excellence, and educational outreach. The EMS Outreach Liaison is responsible for fostering strong partnerships, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and ensuring EMS interests are well-represented within Emory Healthcare.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in EMS, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, or a closely related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant EMS related experience.
In lieu of Education: Minimum of 7 years of relevant EMS related experience.
Strong relationship-building and business development skills.
Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills to engage multiple departments and external partners.

Nice To Haves

Current or previous National Registry certification as a paramedic or EMT preferred

Responsibilities

Build strong relationships between Emory Healthcare ED care teams and EMS providers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with EMS organizations, first responders, and other related partners to support system integration and growth.
Develop and implement outreach programs to engage EMS providers, increase awareness of Emory Healthcare services, and strengthen referral networks.
Coordinate and deliver EMS education, including training sessions, workshops, and continuing education programs for EMS personnel.
Act as a resource for EMS crews regarding hospital processes, patient intake procedures, and clinical pathways.
Work closely with the EHC Capacity Command Center team to optimize EMS integration into system-wide patient flow initiatives.
Analyze EMS transport data and trends to identify opportunities for service improvements and enhanced collaboration.
Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives that improve EMS provider experience and operational efficiency.
Support compliance with state and federal EMS regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.
Represent Emory Healthcare at EMS conferences, community events, and industry meetings to enhance visibility and partnership opportunities.
Participate in system-wide emergency preparedness planning and response efforts.
Provide education and training to internal staff on EMS transport policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including state and federal EMS transport guidelines.
