Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas EMS/AIR 1 has more than 65 ambulances, three active helicopters and one helicopter in reserve strategically located across the region and emergency teams provide rapid access to care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in the field or at least two years’ experience as a dispatcher for fire, law enforcement or other EMS services
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of supervisory experience in dispatch communications or an emergency medical services environment
Responsibilities
- The Supervisor EMS Communications is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring the everyday operations of the communications center.
- Responsible for receiving requests for ambulance service by telephone and radio, dispatching appropriate response as per medical protocols, and managing field unit resources by using system status management.
- Effectively communicates with internal and external customers.
