The Employment & Training Specialist position, classified as a Self-Sufficiency Specialist II, is a full performance level role. This position is responsible for timely enrollment and efficient management of VIEW (Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare) cases, providing excellent customer service. The role involves assessing, enrolling, and providing direct service and referrals for education, training, employment, and other essential supportive services to help clients achieve economic self-sufficiency. The specialist is expected to work in a team environment, possess expert-level knowledge of VIEW program rules, and meet program expectations and goals.
