About The Position

Overview We are searching for a motivated and hard-working individual to support the continued growth of the EmployAbility Clinic at the Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) at Utah State University. The EmployAbility Clinic assists youth and adults with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining, and maintaining meaningful employment. This position will work closely with the Program Coordinator to provide direct support to clients and expand community-based employment opportunities. This is an exempt, benefited position at 75% time. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire, an ACRE Certification and Customized Employment Certification.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work with clients at their individual job sites, which may vary in location and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Teach employment-related social skills in group or one-on-one settings.
  • Provide community-based instruction focused on job exploration and readiness.
  • Conduct interest inventories and skills assessments.
  • Assist with resume development, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
  • Provide one-on-one, real-time job coaching at client job sites.
  • Support clients in learning job tasks and appropriate workplace behaviors.
  • Engage in job development to create community employment opportunities.
  • Build relationships with employers and provide education on inclusive hiring.
  • Write professional client reports and maintain documentation.
  • Coordinate transportation and scheduling with clients.
  • Provide support to clients at their place of employment with flexibility in scheduling and work locations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
