About The Position
Summer Special Education /Students with Disabilities Teacher Salary for 6 weeks : $8,680 6 week summer program 7/3/26 - 8/14 /26 Please include resume and cover letter Who We Are: Wildwood School provides a comprehensive educational program for students with autism spectrum disorders and developmental disabilities to prepare them to be as independent as possible. Academic, social, employment, and functional skills are taught to each student as driven by their Individual Educational Plan (IEP), needs, and interests. Requirements
- Education/Experience: Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university preferred; OR Bachelors degree and at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificates and Licenses: NYS Special Education Teachers Certification
- A valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to and plans lessons in conjunction with the designated curriculum framework
- Works as a part of an inter-disciplinary team to meet each learner's individual needs
- Collaborates with parents, administrators, language therapists, social workers, behavior specialists and others to develop individual educational programs for students.
- Instructs students in all academic subjects.
- Trains, supports and supervises teaching assistants within the classroom and community setting
