The Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) is the independent state agency that enforces Massachusetts anti-discrimination laws by investigating Discrimination Complaints to determine whether the case may proceed to conciliation or a public hearing before the Commission. The MCAD also offers remedial and preventative training, and publishes resources online such as model policies, posters, and guides. The MCAD is seeking a motivated and experienced individual to supervise the Employment Investigation unit within the Investigations Division. The Employment Supervisor will perform investigative duties, manage a case load, and exercise direct supervision over a unit of investigators. As such, they will supervise, plan, review, and evaluate work product and performance of subordinates. Incumbent will on-board and evaluate the performance of newly hired investigators during their probationary period. Further, the Incumbent is expected to provide on the job training for employees in their unit and work collaboratively with other supervisors to provide cross-division trainings; review on an as-needed basis Investigative Plans, Interactive Checklists, Requests for Information, Investigative Dispositions, and other work product prepared by subordinates for accuracy, completeness, and content, providing substantive guidance, training, and input; resolve unit issues in a timely and professional manner, using independent judgement and established protocols. This position receives direct supervision from the Deputy Chief of Investigations (DCOI) and indirect supervision by the Chief of Investigations (COI) and the Executive Director.
