JOB SUMMARY The Retention Specialist helps create a positive and connected employee experience by leading retention initiatives, managing engagement tools, and supporting training and ministry programs. This role combines data-driven insight with people-centered engagement to strengthen satisfaction, growth, and belonging across the organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience of working as a Retention Specialist or other relevant position.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and technical written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Able to travel with limited notice.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products.
  • Maintain compliance with ProLift’s Drug and Alcohol policy.
  • Have a clean background.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience with learning management systems and web delivery tools.
  • Good experience of report development and data management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.

  • Experience in the heavy construction industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in a Retention Specialist Position
  • Experience working with multimedia equipment

Responsibilities

  • Retensa Specialist Send exit interview requests manually through Retensa.
  • Upload and maintain the active employee roster on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate and distribute the annual retention engagement survey.
  • Distribute 30/60/90 Day survey (automatically sent through Retensa based on hire dates)
  • Ownership and management of the Retensa Platform – evaluation of features we are utilizing, identification of features that are underutilized or new tools that could support retention goals
  • Other Retention Responsibilities Monitor and report on monthly progress toward Retention Pace-to-Plan goals.
  • Prepare and share a monthly retention snapshot report with branch managers and leadership.
  • Heavy Rigging Trainee 30/60/90-day touch and leader feedback
  • Manager in Training 30/60/90-day touch and leader feedback
  • Develop and Implement Key Position Check-Ins (Stay Interviews)
  • Maintain accurate retention and engagement data within internal systems and databases
  • Support the continuous improvement of the company’s retention strategy by identifying trends, proposing initiatives, and coordinating implementation efforts
  • Provide support to the Ministry Department Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when engaging in ministry-related activities
  • Provide support for On-Ramping, Training Cohorts, and Training Coordination Assist with tracking training attendance and completion records, support communication with participants and leaders
  • Provide support to the Recruiting and Quality Departments where appropriate
  • Help identify training needs based on retention data, survey feedback, and Employee Check-In’s
  • Good Communication, Interpersonal Skills, Relationship Building.

  • Create, Develop, Maintain, and Coordinate Employee Recognition Efforts
