About The Position

The Employee Relations Partner works in close partnership with the People Partner and the Legal teams on a variety of employee relations matters, including performance management, conduct, conflict resolution, and investigations. This role ensures the right balance of risk mitigation, fairness, and consistency, utilizing sound judgment grounded in ER principles and past precedent, while maintaining Aledade’s culture. Aledade, a public benefit corporation founded in 2014, aims to empower independent primary care, having become the largest network in the country. They help practices, health centers, and clinics deliver better care to patients and thrive in value-based care by creating value-based contracts across various health plans, shifting from the traditional fee-for-service model. This work strengthens continuity of care, aligns incentives, and ensures primary care physicians are compensated for keeping patients healthy. Requirements

  • 7+ years equivalent experience (such as employee relations, HR generalist, HR business partner, or labor/employment law), required
  • Skilled in workplace investigations, negotiation, and conflict management
  • Deep understanding of US employment law, EEO regulations, workplace anti-discrimination and accommodations related laws, including Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA and their state law equivalents
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in challenging, and/or confrontational situations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate key points, risk, and the why behind recommendations

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (will consider equivalent experience in employee relations and/or HR-related certifications), preferred
  • Previous experience in project management, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Consults on a variety of complex employee relations issues, including (but not limited to) performance management, workplace conflicts, and other policy violations
  • Working with business leaders, makes recommendations to People Managers for employee performance concerns, including editing and administering Corrective Action Plans
  • Partnering with the ER Manager and Legal, conducts internal investigations related to a variety of employee relations allegations, such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and policy violations
  • Utilizes the employee relations case management system to ensure appropriate documentation is captured; reviews and tracks case progress for investigation and performance cases
  • Helps with identifying gaps within the ER team and provides suggestions on how to address and close opportunities; tracks relevant employee data, metrics, and trends to help identify process improvements and approaches.
  • Drives cultural adoption of the employee relations team through communication and training for People Managers and employees; assists with the development of training and facilitates training for People Managers on ER-related topics (such as performance management and leadership best practices)
  • Stays updated on related employment law changes
