About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Partner to join our HR team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and performance-related concerns. You will play a critical role in ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant employee relations practices while supporting a positive workplace culture. Below is a list of the core responsibilities of the role:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field. Four (4) additional years of experience can substitute for the required degree.
  • Four (4) years of experience in employee relations and workplace investigations.
  • Ability to travel between ICHS sites as needed.
  • If using personal vehicle to travel, valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent HR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve employee relations matters, including conducting fair and impartial investigations into workplace complaints, policy violations, and other concerns.
  • Partner with managers to address performance issues by providing coaching on documentation, improvement strategies, and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary actions to ensure consistency with internal policies and compliance with employment laws.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and legally compliant documentation of all employee relations cases.
  • Analyze trends in employee relations to identify root causes and recommend proactive solutions that support engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Support HR compliance efforts by ensuring alignment with labor laws, internal policies, and company values.
  • Collaborate with Legal as needed to assess risk and ensure consistent, legally sound resolution of sensitive cases.
  • Educate and coach managers on best practices related to feedback, conflict resolution, documentation, and performance management.
  • Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and training materials related to performance and conduct.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, offering guidance on conflict resolution and interpersonal challenges.
  • Balance business needs, employee experience, and organizational risk to drive thoughtful decision-making.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional HR projects, contributing as a valued member of the broader HR team and influencing outcomes across the organization.
