Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred
  • 6+ years of total HR experience with 4+ years direct ER experience
  • Ability to work business hours in assigned area including some evening and weekend support on an as-needed basis due to support of retail store operations
  • Outstanding listening and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility to re-prioritize and adapt quickly
  • A high-level of proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative but also initiative-taking, ability to work well autonomously, outgoing and focused on providing excellent customer service to our internal customers
  • Sound judgement with regards to when to escalate an issue to HR Leadership

Nice To Haves

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly preferred
  • Experience with employment laws for assigned area highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with area, regional, district, and store leadership on developing and maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Conduct investigations, create effective investigative reports and resolve high-risk allegations, including interviewing complainants and witnesses.
  • Collaborating directly with legal and asset protection when necessary
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in addressing grievances and work to resolve complex employee relations/labor relations issues.
  • Counsel and resolve employee relations issues, including but not limited to manager/employee situations, policies and procedures, terminations, and reorganizations.
  • Handle extremely confidential and time sensitive information while navigating through escalated human resources issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.
