About The Position

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in human resources, with direct experience in either compensation programs or faculty contract processing . At least one (1) year of experience supervising, leading, or coordinating the work of others , with demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and drive results. Proven ability to build positive, trust-based relationships with institutional leaders and navigate complex dynamics—especially when delivering difficult decisions or offering alternative solutions. Strong customer service orientation , with a commitment to serving employees, students, and campus partners with professionalism and empathy. Demonstrated analytical skills with experience interpreting and applying HR policy, compensation data, and workforce metrics. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills , including the ability to create clear documentation, facilitate group processes, and influence decisions through evidence-based reasoning. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification such as PHR , SPHR , SHRM -CP, or SHRM - SCP . Experience working in a higher education , unionized, or mission-driven organization with varied employee classifications (faculty, staff, student workers). Demonstrated expertise in Title IX compliance , employee relations investigations, or workplace conflict resolution.
