Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Producer to join our growing team in Carmel, IN. The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for driving new sales and renewals. This role emphasizes proactive client engagement, with business primarily conducted outside the traditional branch or office setting. As a key member of the sales team, the Producer actively participates in the Top Gun program, thereby qualifying as a "producer" and earning commissions based on performance.

Requirements

• Valid Life & Health Insurance License
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy declaration page, summary plan descriptions, certification of coverage, instruction manuals, workflow reports, etc.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.

Responsibilities

• Development and successful acquisition of new business revenue from new and existing clients.
• Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
• Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters or through personal visits.
• Maintain currency and further develop expertise in declared sector or market area by networking and participating in professional development activities.
• Properly record mileage and retain receipts for expenses incurred in servicing and meeting with clients. Expense reports are to be filed monthly.
• Any other duties as deemed necessary by your Supervisor
