Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our growing team in Tallahassee, FL . The Employee Benefits Account Manager retains customers through servicing and management of complex customer relationships both internally and externally. Collaborate with teammates in the department to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve customer satisfaction, and support new business opportunities. How You Will Contribute: Responsible for the day-to-day account management of an assigned book of business, including various types of funding arrangements, managing resolution of customer issues, and escalating employee enrollment and claims issues. Assist with team development by establishing and maintaining advanced skill set and knowledge to act as a resource. Build courteous and successful relationships with customers, prospective decision-makers, vendors, and carriers to improve customer retention. Assist marketing team with the renewal process for dedicated book of business, including identifying gaps in coverage and consulting leadership or producer to advise customers. Review renewal, new business, and insurance operations compliance documents in the agency management database. Review marketing presentations and required materials for customers. Lead the implementation process for any customers that choose to transition carriers, implement new coverages, and/or implement plan design or funding changes. Provide ongoing educational resources, tools, guidance, and updates to customers regarding employee benefits topics, as needed. Assist in the review of internal compliance and customer disclosure requirements. Assist with growing the assigned book of business through account rounding and referrals, along with supporting marketing and sales teams as needed. Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing. Promote teamwork, support, knowledge-sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office with a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards.

Requirements

  • Resident Health & Life (Including Annuities & Variable Contracts (2-15)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Strong technical knowledge of coverage in all employee benefits insurance coverage
  • 5+ years industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year college degree (Preferred)
