About The Position

Requirements

  • A minimum of one-year public relations, human resources or related experience and/or a college degree in public relations, human resources or related field.
  • Must be able to communicate with a diverse employee and resident population; must be self-motivated, extremely organized and have good planning abilities.
  • Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to communicate with and motivate employees with diverse ages and backgrounds; knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • This position provides employee and community relations such as public speaking, community visits, media relations, employee recruitment, advocacy and motivation, as assigned, in a caring, safe and efficient manner and is responsible to perform the following according to location standards and procedures.
  • Speaks at community events and service clubs regarding the senior living community’s mission and services.
  • Attends service clubs and other community events as well as visits with individual community persons to promote the community and educate people concerning the use of community services.
  • Plans and conducts events such as open houses to acquaint and involve the community in the senior living community’s activities.
  • Produces and mails written materials including brochures, newsletters, flyers and bulletin inserts.
  • Promotes media coverage of special events, activities and noteworthy people as well as coordinating press releases.
  • Assists supervisors in writing and placing advertisements for new employees.
  • Establishes and maintains recruitment relationships with local schools, job service and other employment organizations.
  • Directs employees to appropriate internal and external resources as needed and requested.
  • Assists staff to work toward resolving conflict; acts as mediator when needed.
  • Consistently interacts with supervisors to invite them to involve, encourage and challenge employees.
  • Reviews need for and assures employee personal growth or other motivational programs are implemented at regular intervals.
