EMG Specialist Independent Contractor
About The Position
Concentra, a large healthcare company, is seeking a Physiatrist / Neurologist to work on-site as a 1099 independent contractor. This role involves performing EMGs and NCS and is designed to complement the contractor's existing practice. A typical partnership entails treating patients at Concentra for approximately a 4-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in managing medically complex patients, expediting return to work, and facilitating functional restoration. The specialist will collaborate with medical and therapy providers to deliver services, primarily EMGs and NCS, for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work-related injuries, aiming to significantly improve patient care.
Requirements
- Meet licensure requirements of the state of practice
- Be a graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accredited university
- Possess an unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction
- Hold Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Have Medical Malpractice Insurance which will cover you while on site
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience in treating patients with work related injuries
Responsibilities
- Work half a day per week or biweekly
- Maintain flexible scheduling with consideration of your private practice

- Operate as an independent contractor for Concentra
- Accept compensation for services determined by a revenue share model
