About The Position

The Emergency Services Technician supports patient care and handles administrative and clinical procedures. This role involves collaborating with a team of practitioners to ensure optimal health care outcomes and patient experiences within the Pediatric Emergency Department at MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network, a state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Current Washington state certification/licensure as a CNA or NA-R, MA-P, MA-C or successful completion of EMT Training Course
MA-P or EMT will be required to obtain NA-R within ninety 90 days of hire
CNA, NA-R, or EMT will be required to obtain MA-P within a specified date as determined by location; Mary Bridge Hospital and Yakima locations does not require the MA-P
Current BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a CNA, NA-R, corpsman, or EMT, in an emergency department, pre-hospital, or acute care setting within the last three (3) years preferred

Responsibilities

Assist in providing direct patient care as directed by health care practitioner
Engage critical thinking skills in maintaining a safe, therapeutic and aesthetic environment
Utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
Collaborate with the team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
Foster a learning environment for patients/families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team
Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds
