Lead shift team operations, ensuring smooth daily workflow and promptly escalating issues to the Shift Lead when additional support is needed. Serve as ERT Captain, directing personnel during emergency responses involving medical events, chemical spills, gas releases, HAZMAT situations, and rescue operations. Enforce safety protocols—including PPE use, CoHE/Lockout‑Tagout, and proper chemical handling—to maintain a compliant and hazard‑free work environment. Conduct safety audits, perform hazard prevention inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency. Apply, review, and communicate Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA); share shift updates and collaborate cross‑functionally to address equipment, safety, and operational issues. Maintain, inspect, and manage emergency response equipment; document incidents and track safety trends to support prevention strategies. Assist with safety projects and cost‑reduction initiatives by performing data analysis and supporting preventive maintenance activities. Meet physical requirements—including prolonged standing and walking up to 5 miles per shift—while ensuring the protection of personnel and assets during both emergency and routine operations.
