About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking an Emergency Response Coordinator (known internally as an Administrative Support Coordinator) to provide administrative support to our emergency response team. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Emergency Response to provide onsite and remote support for billing, scheduling, and management of environmental emergencies. Clean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental, energy, and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. This position is remote-but requires frequent travel to support environmental emergencies throughout the country. Requirements

  • High School Diploma / equivalent
  • Experience - 3 to 5 years
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Perform physical functions per job requirements
  • Ability to travel anywhere Clean Harbors works for days/weeks at a time
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
  • Ability to communicate via Telephone
  • Ability to use web conferencing/remote equipment as a means of communication
  • Tolerance for loud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to major environmental disaster sites to provide onsite support (approximate travel is 50-75%)
  • Be a key member of the emergency response leadership team onsite-working long days to support the team as needed
  • Work closely with our Global Capability Center (GCC) on all necessary escalations
  • Perform and support training needs for field and GCC specific to admin function
  • Work with corporate teams to resolve issues that need additional support
  • Provide backfill for vacations, LOA, or increased workload coverage spikes
