Emergency Medicine Physician - New York
About The Position
DocStar Medical Partners is offering a new job opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) at a hospital facility in New York. This is an ongoing assignment scheduled to start on June 8, 2026, with a credentialing timeframe of 30-45 days. The role involves working 12-hour shifts, either from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with a commitment of 2 shifts per week or 8 shifts per month. The facility handles an annual patient volume of 18,000. The physician will be responsible for performing various procedures including fracture care, sutures, and intubation, and will also supervise an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) on site. The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used is EPIC.
Requirements
- MD/DO profession
- NY Active License (ideal)
- Board Certified (BC) in Emergency Medicine (will consider Family Medicine with 1-3 years of experience)
- ATLS certification (from AHA)
- BLS certification (from AHA)
- PALS certification (from AHA)
Nice To Haves
- Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) experience
Responsibilities
- Perform fracture care, sutures, and intubation
- Provide solo physician coverage
- Be confident and capable of all ESD procedures
- Supervise APP on site
