Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a full time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester Virginia. The ideal candidate will support our commitment to providing the right care, in the right place, at the right time to our patients to enhance their well-being and improve their health. They will demonstrate the ability to carry out our Riverside Care Difference, which reflects our commitment to quality, safety and service. Our Emergency Department team delivers lifesaving care, 24/7 and 365 days a year, in five emergency rooms across southeastern Virginia. This includes the region's only accredited Emergency and Trauma Center located at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. The emergency rooms at Riverside Doctors' Hospital Williamsburg, Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester and Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital on the Eastern Shore of Virginia are supported by the same team of over 500 medically distinguished providers across nearly every specialty that support the flagship, Riverside Emergency and Trauma Center. LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER serving over 650,000 people - Very competitive salary - Certified stroke, trauma & cardiac center - ED Residency program beginning in 2020 - 70,000+ visits/year - 500-bed, Level II tertiary care center - 97 hours attending - 36 hours PA coverage - Scribe program at all facilities - Best of breed ED-EMR - Robust sub-specialty support - License/medical board certificate/DEA paid - Paid malpractice w/tail coverage. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM or ABOEM Certification) in Emergency Medicine
  • License to practice medicine and surgery in the Commonwealth of Virginia or ability to obtain a Virginia License
  • Current DEA or ability to obtain a DEA
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
